Studio Love The Rock brings you regular shows by contemporary artists. Striving to always be thought provoking and exciting, the aim is to bridge the gap between the worlds of art and tattooing, to offer a platform to all disciplines and, above all, to make art, WORK, for artists.

The Latest Exhibition.

Artist Emma Housley will be bringing her vivid abstract paintings to Studio Love the Rock in Lancaster for an exhibition in April. Emma is a Somerset based painter who last year won an emerging artist bursary and worked for six months in residency at Clayhill Arts in Somerset developing an entirely new and fresh set of paintings. These works reflect the free experimentation of that period. Emma's work is rich, textural and full of bold colour that reflect her preoccupation with water and swimming. Following on from a solo show last year, Emma will be bringing her joyous abstract work to Lancaster with a Private View with drinks on Tuesday 7th April 6-8pm. All welcome.

Breathing Underwater

Ruth first met Emma when they both attended Cyprus College Of Art to do their Post Grad diplomas in Fine Art. This was in 2001, their friendship has remained strong ever since.
